Leonardo da Vinci created the 1st animation and the 1st robot in the world
-- the mechanical lion, created 500 years ago!
The exhibit was housed in Chateau Clos du Lucé, Amboise, France
was originally intended to entertain the King of France during then.
This Boaretto mechanical lion, is capable of taking about 10 steps forward,
shakes its head sideway, opens and closes its jaws and wags its tail up and down
By stroking the sweet spot on the lion's mane, which houses a special built-in mechanism a trapdoor will swing open on its flank and fleur de lys will pop out.

Leonardo da Vinci uses both sides of his brain to create art! Indeed, he has a balance mind.
It is interesting to note that the English word talent (late 13th C) actually has its root anchored on the word balance.Traced back to classical Latin where balance means the sum of money too, as it was derived from Greek,
talanton which means balance, weight & sum. Since mid 14th C, the romantic meaning and figurative usage of talent means special natural ability and aptitude.
