            tween or tweak, apply masks or filter tricks
            be it image solarized, blurred or crisp
            formatted in pct, bmp or tiff
            all must be resampled to 256 color & 8-bit
            jpeg or gif
            to be beefed up in TCP/IP -- the Internet beat

            however, any high resolution or subtle graphics
            just cannot withstand this scaled-down beat
            hence poor quality image creep
